STRATEGY

Move the decimal one place left for 10%, then scale.

  1. 1Find 10% (move the decimal)
  2. 2Find 5% (half of 10%) or 1% (move again)
  3. 3Combine to get the target
EXAMPLE
15% of 80
→ 10% = 8
5% = 4 → total 12
